Firm Owner, CPA
Jim is primarily engaged in providing accounting, tax, and business management services to construction, manufacturing, and service businesses. He worked for small accounting firms in Beaverton, Tigard, Portland, and Vancouver from the late 1980’s to 2016; in 2016, he signed papers to purchase a practice here in beautiful, and growing, Ridgefield.
Jim attended Colorado State University (GO Rams!) earning a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Biology (yes, you read that correctly, Wildlife Biology). Portland State University provided post-bachelorette studies for accounting, tax, and business law so he could sit for and pass the Certified Public Accountants exam.
He is currently the Vice-President for the Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce. In prior years, he sat on the board of directors for the Washington State School for the Blind and Clark County Skills Center. He was the vice-chair for the Washington State Board of Accountancy Quality Assurance Review committee. He is a member of the Oregon Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. He is licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington.
When Jim is not behind the desk, he enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and reading.
